You watch me play cards, loving a good rail, relishing an interaction; a like, a chat-box response, a virtual high-five. You envy me and my status as a player; my Machiavellian cunning, my poker brain, my heart.

But you watch me play a silly game. I watch you live a difficult life, loving that I can call you a friend, relishing a meaningful connection; eye-contact, a conversation, a hug. I envy you and your dignity as a human being; your quintessential goodness, your spirit, your heart.
